Introducing Mr. Twigster!

  Ok, I have fallen in love but don't tell my husband! Mr Twigster is the cutest little guy I have seen in a long time! This is the first of 3 cards I have made using Mr. Twigster for an upline's monthly challenge. The requirements were to use a stamp set from the Holiday mini catalog, any designer series paper and at least one punch.

I used the Kiwi kiss side of the Bella Rose dsp on the background and also with the oval punch. The other punches I used were the Designer label punch and the Word window punch. The sentiment comes from the Warm words stamp set that is on the dormant list but is stll available.

The main piece is cut from Whisper white & Riding hood red on the Big shot machine using the Top Notes Die. The edge of the whisper white was cut on the perforated line in order to layer it on the red.

 

Mr Twigster, the tree & presents were stamped with Black stazon and colored in with markers. Snowflakes were stamped very lightly in bashful blue and the edge of the Top Note was sponged with kiwi.

The Kiwi Kiss/Very Vanilla satin ribbon were threaded through the double rectangle punched holes and tied into a bow.

Party Hearty!

 

Kristina has another Color Inspiration this week. The colors are Pumpkin pie, Ruby red, Sage shadow & Whisper white.

 

 

 

I came up with this card using the Party Hearty stamp set. I used markers to ink up the hats, then stamped them on white two times. I cut out one set and layered them over the first ones using Stampin' dimensionals.

The Ruby red layer was crimped using the crimper and Pumpkin pie grosgrain ribbon was tied in a bow & attached with a mini glue dot. The sentiment was stamped in Pumpkin pie and punched with the word window punch.

Kiwi Tree!

  Ok, so the title is misleading, it's not really a kiwi tree but a tree made out of the Kiwi kiss side of the Bella Rose designer series paper. I used 4 squares measuring 3, 2 1/2, 2, 1 1/2 inches. I will try to post a tutorial but my internet is not working properly lately. For the top of the tree, I punched the small star looking flower with the Boho Blossoms punch and added a gold brad to the center.

The oval was made using the coluzzle and it was sponged.

The sentiment comes from the Holidays & Wishes stamp set and is punched with the ticket corner punch and sponged.

The background is stamped with the swirl from the Baroque Motif stamp set in Vanilla craft ink. Some vanilla taffeta ribbon was tied at the top.

Color Inspiration #27

 

It's time again for another one of Kristina's Color Inspiration Challenges! This time we were to use any Red or pink as our main color.

I used the Bella Rose designer series paper for the background which has Riding hood red & pink pirouette.

 

The center panel was Cuttlebug embossed with the swiss dots folder. I tied the Riding hood red ribbon around the card & tied it in a knot.

The butterfly image comes from the Dreams du Jour stamp set. It's stamped in Riding hood red and punched with the 1 1/4" circle punch then layered on the 1 3/8" circle of pink pirouette. Finally that is layered on the scallop circle that was highlighted with the white gel pen.

Color Inspiration #25!

 

It's time for another color challenge from Kristina!

This time the colors were Ballet blue, Certainly celery, So saffron, & Ruby red.

 

 

I found it hard to use the red with the soft yellow & green so I tried to keep it at a minimum but then decided to use the wide ribbon. I'm not really sure I like it.

The image comes from the Ronald McDonald house stamp set, Say it with Scallops. I used the Scallop square punch to cut it out. I used the Scallop edge punch along the side of the saffron. The celery piece was embossed with the Cuttlebug Swiss dots folder.

Here's a closeup of the brads in place of the circular flowers. They were inserted with a hold from the paper piercer. The image was mounted with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Joy!

 

I made this card using the image from the level 1 hostess set, Punches Three. It fits perfectly into the new Wide oval punch. I stamped the image in both Pretty in pink and Barely banana so I could layer the part of the pink image over the banana image. I added tiny Rhinestone brads to give it some bling! The layout comes from Taylor's Cupcake challenge as shown.  

The strip of patterned paper is a retired designer series paper that I had in my stash. I used the Cuttlebug embossing folder, Swiss dots to make the background and tied some silver cording around the top.

Ribbon Yo-Yo!

  The colors for this card come from Kristina's Color Inspiration Challenge #24, which are Chocolate Chip, Pumpkin Pie, Kiwi Kiss & Very vanilla.

The pumpkin piece is stamped with the swirl from the Baroque Motifs stamped set in Very Vanilla craft ink and embossed. The sentiment is from the Hostess level 1 set-Best Yet!

 

 

I made the Ribbon yo-yo that was shown at convention with 12 inches of the Chocolate chip Double Stitched Grosgrain ribbon. It is so simple-you make a quick running stitch down the edge of the ribbon and then pull tight to gather. Tuck the ends under and attach with a Pop-up glue dot. I embellished it with a 1 inch circle, large flower from the Boho blossoms punch and a button.
